Oh, and for a more personal update since my last entry was passing Paramedic school and needing 240hrs of ride time... haha.. that seems forever ago!
Anywho, scored an 89% on my ILLstate Exams, and am a working tri-system Paramedic now for a private ambulance company. I plan on taking the National Exams in December so that I can work in 27 other states that recognize the National and not Illinois.

Woah.... Haven't been here in.. quite some time!
Not really planning on using this journal. Maybe a few spam updates for WoW doings, but, otherwise, I've taken a break from RP. Its been a long time coming, and there are several reasons. This biggest though? I'm bored. Very, very bored. I'm tired of joining X-Men games that have the same people playing the same characters playing the same scenes over and over and over. I've been around the block like a well used whore when it comes to playing X-Men, and I'm done.
After ~hooligans failed for the Harry Potter world, there hasn't been a magical character in me since. HP people are way too bossy and needy. Yeah, I haven't read past the 4th book, and honestly, I don't ever plan to. Don't hold it against me. Wiki and other fan sites work superbly in filling in pieces I would need for RP. Plus, its overrun with 15 year olds now.
In fact.. where did the adult RPers go? Are we a forgotten generation now? What happened to the MUDDers and the Rhy'Din folks? And the people that would tally up EXP every week and adjust ranks? RP was fun back then. It wasn't a 24/7 job that had so much background garbage that you didn't even want to play in the game you spent hours applying and plotting for. ~rps and ~pbads and ~anonpb are havens for cyber-bullying. I've seen people get destroyed from crap like that, and I won't partake in it. These crazy kids have no understanding of how good roleplay had been, and have almost single-handedly destroyed it.
Then there was ~grimly. Ugh. I miss it. I loved the players, the characters, the activity level.. it was so amazing until two people with OOC drama from each other annihilated the game overnight. My character started off on level 1, and made it all the way to 80. He was just about to start end-game content... in WoW terms of course. His development was amazing, as were the rest of the active characters in the game. But no. OOC bullshit destroyed that. So that's reason #4.
Real life is also far more important than RP. Since last year, I've had a plethora of cardiac issues and frequent illnesses that have forced me to pause everything, including RP. This didn't sit well with some people, but, whatever. RP is serious business. My heart though? Is far more important than little bitchfits about flaking out on a game because there was no energy, drive, or proper blood flow to move my ass to a computer.
Reason #6? I want more WoW time. RP is serious business. WoW? Not so much. I'm in a new, local guild now and playing with a few childhood friends brings a new interest back into the game. I fell out of it because of RP. Cataclysm is coming out and only one toon is prepared.
And the most important reason for quitting: Love. My fiance is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. We met through role play, and together, we're going to leave the fictional digital world behind. I'd much rather take her downtown or go fishing instead of sitting around waiting for replies, or getting into arguments over RP things if we're in a game together. Love, above all else, will always be greater, no matter what.
So with that, I take my bow from the RP world.
I can't say that its been fun, but I am grateful to the nice people and good writers I've met along the way. Take care!

Hey folks!
One of my close family friends is participating in the National Multiple Sclerosis Walk of 2009 coming up in May. She needs to raise $300 for the fund. Paula lost an aunt because of MS, and my own aunt was recently diagnosed with the disease as well. If you have $5, $10, $15 or whatever amount to spare, it would be greatly appreciated! She only just started fundraising, and I myself has donated, but she's stuck at 20%. So if you haven't done a good dead this year, it might be time to donate a measly $5 to help in researching cures and treatments for these people that suffer so greatly.

So I just downloaded 1-52 of Animorphs, plus all the subplotted books and megamorphs etc that went along. The files are PDF. Anyone want them? Chaku? Also dling the complete tv series! Not sure on the quality, but its still got 10 hours to go.
This series has so many good memories. Almost finished with book one and I already started tearing up when Elfangor Sirinial Shamtul died :/ I started reading these in 4th grade. I actually remember the librarian of grade school got me into them after I blew through LotR. I told her I wanted something different, that I was bored with everything else. So she handed me a blue book with a boy turning into a lizard. Instantly intrigued. Read through it in one night (Hellooo, 4th grader! One night was FAST in that grade). So I read through them up until 6th grade. Don't ask me about 5th grade, I remember 3 things about it: Laura Craver, I hate your guts, Jessica Letchford, you're a thundercow whore, and I won an award for the most creative and useful backscratcher in science. 6th grade though? I started hanging around with Jackie GR, who introduced me to Jacci Stier. We became best friends. We all ended up reading Animorphs religiously together, and with Amanda Garcia and Jessica Chiarella living next door to me, Jackie GR behind Amanda, and Jacci down the street in the big houses, we were so our own little group of Animorphs. Amanda, not nearly as much, probably because she had to be Tobias. I was Marco. Obviously. Jacci was Jake. My fearless leader, we had such a similar relationship to Jake/Marco, it was just meant to be. Plus she played basketball. And Jackie GR was blond, so she was clearly Rachel, but a drama queen, so it worked. And Jessica? Jessica is always kind, so it was a clear choice that she be Cassie. We had so many sleep overs and hung out so many times play-pretending to be the animorphs. We'd go on adventures in the woods by our houses, which did NOT have a carved and gutted and paved path through it. Pure woods. No bridge over the tributary either. We made our own or used the beaver's damns to try and get back and forth. We played in the snow a lot. Especially after book 25, a Marco covered book, mind you! And had to be polar bears fighting the yeerks. And we would play during school. Even got paranoid at the start of high school if the Yeerks could truly be real. It was awesome.
AND OH! One time, we were in Jacci's basement playing, because she ahd an unfinished basement, so that was the designated Yeerk Pool area. We infiltrated it, like the Animorphs always do, and we were in our respective battlemorphs. I had jumped onto the ping pong table as a gorilla and waddled over to the other side, because if I stayed on the one side, I was going to fall into the pool. WELL. Jacci, in her tiger morph, decides to jump OVER the pool and onto that other end of the pool table.. I remember holding out my hand for her to stop, and yelled NO JAKE! And When she landed.. the table bent under her weight. Holy shit were we scared her parents were going to kill us. We spent ALL night trying to fix it. Even until this day, that ping pong table as a bend down, though we pretty much got it almost right again.
AND OH OH!
Jacci was destined to be Jake, because she has an older brother, but he's a complete douche, or, was anyways. I don't know. i never liked him.
but yeah. That's Animorphs in a shell. I love this series and will pass it down to my kids one day.

So I'm going to lose my job because I'm going to school. Sometime in Feb. Trying to pull every string I can to get a new one asap. Part time. 20 hours a week. Leaves me with nothing. ::sigh:: Even at 7.50x20x2=300x2, that's before taxes.
Bill Costs per month: 516~, probably more. That doesn't leave much wiggle room. At all. Not to mention I have to come up with $3000 pretty soon. Pretty sure FAFSA is TITLE IV and won't cover the paramedic program. So no government aid. I can come up with $1500. From my savings. But then that leaves only $500 to my name. Because I'll probably ask my Bubby for the other 1500 and try to pay her back... with the extra $70 I keep a month. Yeah. That'll happen real fast.
So, with that being said. I'm trying to sell my world of warcraft account. If anyone is interested, it has all the xpacs activated, 2 70s, alliance, pally and rogue, a 60 dk, a twink priest for 10-19 bracket fully enchanted, and a bunch of scattered 1-20s, horde and alliance. Plus gold. And a few rare items, holiday items, etc. Looking for $200 for it.

So I finally watched the Wolverine trailer. And.. hm. Gambit doesn't look so bad, just.. still.. I don't know. I want to hear his voice. And I'm sorry, I'm a guy, and I have to point out that Emma Frost's breasts are too small for Emma Frost. Sorry. I know I know. But its true. Look at ALL of her comics. They're not on some skinny, BONY woman. And.. the diamond transformation? Really? So Genosha genocide happened? When? Why didn't they save that for another movie? I'm skeptical. About the whole plot itself, and the cast's abilities in general. The dialog already seems poor. May 1st. We'll see.

Seriously, the show was so cheezy and lame, but that doesn't stop me from loving it and yeah. I really should go back and try to finish the Animorphs game I wanted to start :/ Or at least reread them. I think Visser is sitting on my desk. Guess I'll start with that XD
